Brady will be done with his first year of dental school in just FOUR DAYS! We are both so excited we can hardly handle it. He gets the entire month of June off, and returns back to school on July 5th. I just can not believe I get an entire month of Brady all to myself. It is going to be a blast.
We are kicking off the summer with a Yankees game this Thursday and then we leave Saturday for two weeks in Utah! I am leaving for a few days of our Utah trip to fly to San Diego for Zack and Christel's sealing. And of course a day of Disneyland! We have some hopeful plans for the rest of the month that aren't completely set in stone so we will see how it goes!
Anyway, life lately...
A couple weeks ago Zoe and I surprised my mom with a visit for a week and a half in Oklahoma! It was so fun to see everyone. Especially my little nephews!!
^^ Does this face not just kill you!? I DIE. He is the best!!
It's amazing how much more I appreciate green scenery since moving to the city. Definitely a "didn't know you loved it until it was gone" moment for me. Oklahoma this time of year was so gorgeous. It was heaven.
Seeing my lettering in Hobby Lobby was one of the most wild feelings ever! I was so overwhelmed with emotions. It was a very happy moment for me for sure! I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with my friend Kim and make her visions come to life!
Zoe and mud... a magical and extremely messy combo.
My favorite night in Oklahoma! Everyone gathered around the fire pit for smores, and games. It was the best. I love my family.
The weather has been so amazing, which means lots of long walks through the park! It is my very favorite thing to do with our little family.
Brady and I spent a day in Brooklyn, hanging out at the park while he studied and I read. This view made an amazing backdrop.
And there you have it. A very brief catch up.
If I'm being honest, life has been a little rocky for me lately. I think that's why I haven't put any energy into blogging. I have really great days (usually when Brady can take a little time off) and then I have some really not so great days. Being in the city can be so amazing, and also very lonely at times. Making friends has been so hard. I find myself constantly comparing myself and wondering when things will get better. So, right now I am just holding onto 4 days left. I can do this! This summer break is much, much needed for both of us.
