My little sister, Maddy, came to visit for two weeks! It might not be a good idea to let someone stay with us for two weeks ever again, but I do hope she comes back soon for another visit, maybe just a teeny bit shorter. 😉
If I'm being honest, I remember nothing specific about February. Except that we celebrated Valentines. But even then, I'm not sure what we did, so here's a cute picture of zoe from last February.
A LOT of job hunting was happening in March. Boy am I glad that is over and that everything has seemed to work out just perfectly.
This picture was taken on my way to a job interview uptown. Brady came with, (and waited outside) and even though I'm sure he wasn't stoked about coming, he knew it would help calm my nerves so he did it anyway. We saw this amazing rainbow wall! How could he even be mad after that!?
This little Zozo bear turned one!!! Cutest birthday girl I've ever seen.
April was filled with lots of family walks, which are my favorite. We always go to the same spot and throw zoe her ball and chat. Some of our best conversations about life, goals, and our future have happened on those walks, in our special spot.
End of April, I slipped away to Oklahoma to surprise my mom. It was the best little getaway and I got her so so good.
Brady and I snuck off to Brooklyn for the entire day and laid in the sun. He studdied while I read and slept. We ended the day with pizza at Grimaldis, of course!
We also went to our first Yankees game!
Brady finished his fist year of school! He had a break from school for the entire month of June! We traveled to Utah, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, and probably more that I'm missing! We had the best time together and truly loved every second. It was the most refreshing month. I will never forget it.
In between all of that, I flew out to CA to see me brother get sealed to his sweet family. ❤️ Oh, and go to Disneyland.
We celebrated the Fourth of July by getting out of the heat and going to a matinee movie. We saw the shallows, and spent the rest of the day hanging out and doing nothing together. Sometimes that's the best thing. That night we walked over to the east side to watch fireworks over the east river. Pure magic!
We also took zoe to Brooklyn and I think she makes that city backdrop look even better!!
We celebrated our second wedding anniversary. Best two years of my life.
Brady also turned 28! You're getting old, sweetie!
Brady got another break from school so we took off to Oklahoma for two weeks!
We had a special date to Brooklyn. It's our favorite.
We went to the Hamptons for the first time and we fell in love. That was truly one of the most wonderful weekends ever. I got in the ocean for the first time in years and I was on cloud nine. I was so happy and it was such a special memory that I will never forget.
Mariah, Benson, and Ivy came to visit for a few day and that was such a treat. I love them and miss them so so much.
Naturally, October was a fantastic month because... HALLOWEEN!!! And Halloween in the city is just as great as you might think it would be.
Brady and I went to DC for Thanksgiving! I was sick the whole time, but it was fun and I love anytime I get with just him, sick and all!
We ended the year with a bang. Best part, spending so much time with Zeek, and Brady making flank steak! He was so proud of that meal and I'm so proud of him! Now hopefully some of those cooking skills will be put to use in our daily lives!
On a more serious note, looking back on this year has me feeling beyond grateful. It's been such an amazing year for us. Not only have we had so much fun, but we have grown so much as a couple. We have come to know each other so much more over this year. You always think you're at your best, it can't get better, I can't possibly love you more, but then you do. And it's amazing. I'm so grateful for our family and friends and all the blessings we have had this year. I'm so excited for 2017 and for all it holds for us. ❤️
