A few weeks (or months) ago we decided super last minute (we're talking minutes..) to pack up a bag and head to Greenwich for the weekend! Life had been a bit crazy with school, and work, and since we had a minute, we decided to just go for it. I couldn't be happier we did. That alone time, no distractions, good food, and a gorgeous setting, was so good for the soul. We needed it. I am so grateful for everything we have, and this stage of life we are in right now, but, it gets overwhelming and chaotic. Being able to step away for a minute to just appreciate each other and laugh our heads off was so therapeutic.
Whoops, the only picture of both of us all weekend.
Zoe was in heaven. I can not wait to have a house and a big backyard for her to run around in one day! I sometimes feel guilty she lives in such a small space, but honestly this girl is spoiled rotten with all her park time, and I'm sure she wouldn't have it any other way. For now anyway 😉
Love him and his Sandlot t-shirt. Actually, as I am writing this, I'm realizing I have seen him wear that shirt is ages. Probably since this photo was taken, actually. This is SO Brady. He gets something new, obsesses over it, wears is ALL THE TIME, and as soon as he gets something new again, he forgets all about his old stuff. It kills me. But it's just so him, and I think it's funny. He got a new hat last night and I'd betcha a million bucks he will wear it every single day for weeks. Silly guy.
Always making them pose and they put up with it, so I guess I'll keep doing it.
Nice hotels - nice beds. Which is why I will always pick a nicer hotel if I can. We scored a great deal at this hotel, and it was so fun.
After a long day we were lying in bed, eating takeout pizza and talking about our high school days. Somehow we got ont he subject of prank calls. Brady said he never really did them. Me on the other hand, I was a pro! I would do them with friends all the time. One thing led to another and we were prank calling our family members and oh my gosh, I can't even tell you how funny this was. We were DYING. Of course I did all the calling, Brady helped me come up with the stories and was mt cheerleader. This sounds so stupid, and so childish (it is), but we have truly never laughed so hard. We got Brady's dad so good. And his sister. And my mom... haha! Although I think we are done with prank calls for the next 50 years, it was the best time and we will remember that night forever.
My heart. I seriously love him so much my heart could explode.
BEST part of this little trip was driving by all the UNREAL houses and hanging out on the beach while Zoe played her little heart out. She was so wet and covered in sand after. I think that's a sign of a really great time.
Family selfie!! Ha! I guess we did get another picture of us... 😉
Can you handle the charm?! Gah! I can't.
These were literally all on one street, we didn't have a car, so we couldn't venture out too much. We keep saying we want to go back with a car just so we can look at all the houses! I could seriously look at houses all day long. Never gets old. Ever.
Nothing better then lemon and berry gelato. I would chose this combo over everything else, every time.
These two have my heart.
Headed back from Greenwich. Zoe passed out, Brady watching his game, and I got a couple hours to stick my head in a book. Why do I find it so hard to find time for reading these day? I need to get rid of those dang social apps.
Greenwich, we will be back. ❤️
